Effective date: May 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Ethan Lim ("I", "me", or "the developer") handles information in connection with the Slip 'n Swipe mobile application ("the App"). By using the App, you acknowledge this policy.
I do not directly collect, store, or transmit any personal information from users of this App. The App does not require you to create an account or provide any personal details.
The only data stored by the App is saved locally on your device: your high score and user preferences (music on/off, sound on/off, haptics on/off, and whether you have disabled ads). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to me.
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob is only active if you have not disabled ads in the App's settings. If you disable ads, the AdMob SDK is not initialised and no ad-related data collection occurs through this App.
When AdMob is active, Google may collect the following data from your device:
This data is collected and processed by Google LLC, not by me. AdMob may use this data to serve personalised advertisements based on your interests. Ad targeting involves automated profiling — Google uses automated systems to select which ads to show you based on inferred interests and device signals.
AdMob also shares data with Google's advertising technology partners for ad serving, measurement, and fraud prevention purposes. For a list of these partners, see: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
For more information, please review Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Data collected by AdMob may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries. Google relies on Standard Contractual Clauses and other appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
On iOS 14.5 and later, Apple requires apps to request permission before accessing your device's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) for tracking purposes. When you first open the App on iOS, you will see a system prompt asking whether you allow the App to track your activity across other apps and websites for advertising purposes. This prompt is powered by Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.
You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
I do not share your data with any third party. The table below summarises all data flows in connection with this App:
| Party | Data received | Purpose | Policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google LLC (AdMob) | Device ID, IP address, device info, app info, ad interactions, diagnostics | Ad serving, analytics, fraud prevention | policies.google.com/privacy |
Your high score and preferences are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to me or any third party.
You can control personalised advertising through your device settings:
You can also manage Google's use of your data for advertising at: https://adssettings.google.com
Alternatively, you can disable ads entirely within the App via the Settings screen, which prevents the AdMob SDK from initialising. Note: disabling ads within the App is a permanent, one-way action — there is no in-app option to re-enable ads once they have been disabled.
Note: opting out of personalised ads does not mean you will see fewer ads — it means the ads you see will not be tailored to your interests.
The App is a general-audience arcade game that may be used by children of any age. I comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the 2025 amended COPPA Rule. I do not directly collect personal information from any user, including children under 13.
However, Google AdMob — the advertising service used by this App — may collect device identifiers, device information, IP addresses, and usage data from all users, including children under 13, for advertising and analytics purposes as described in Section 2a. I have not designated this App as child-directed within AdMob; if you wish to prevent personalised ad data collection for a child, use your device's advertising settings to opt out (see Section 4) or disable ads in the App's Settings screen.
If you are a parent or guardian and have questions or concerns about your child's privacy in connection with this App, please contact me at slipnswipe@gmail.com. You may request:
I will respond to parental requests within 30 days. For data held directly by Google, please use https://myaccount.google.com or Google's Family Link tools.
I do not knowingly sell or share personal information of children under 13 for purposes unrelated to delivering the App's functionality.
I do not retain any personal data. All app data (high score and preferences) is stored locally on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App or clear the App's data in your device settings.
Data collected by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's data retention policies. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details.
Since all data produced by this App is stored locally on your device and I do not operate any servers or databases, there is no data held by me that could be compromised. Local data is protected by your device's standard app sandboxing. Data transmitted by Google AdMob is encrypted in transit using TLS (Transport Layer Security).
Since I do not collect or hold any personal information, there is no personal data held by me to access, correct, or delete. Any app data stored on your device can be cleared by uninstalling the App or clearing app data in your device settings.
For data collected by Google AdMob, please use Google's tools at https://myaccount.google.com or refer to Google's Privacy Policy.
If you contact me to exercise any privacy right, I will respond within 30 days.
If you are located in the EEA or UK, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you the following rights regarding personal data processed in connection with this App (primarily by Google AdMob):
For data held by Google, exercise these rights via https://myaccount.google.com.
The legal basis for Google AdMob's processing is consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) for personalised advertising and profiling, and legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) for fraud prevention and analytics. For personalised advertising, consent is required and may be withdrawn at any time through your device advertising settings (see Section 4).
Google transfers data internationally to the United States and other countries. These transfers are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
If you have concerns about data processing, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local EU/UK Data Protection Authority. A list of EEA supervisory authorities is available at: https://edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/about-edpb/members_en
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) give you the following rights:
I do not sell your personal information. However, Google AdMob may share device and advertising data with ad partners, which may qualify as "sharing" under the CPRA. The categories of personal information involved include: device identifiers (advertising ID), internet or other network activity information (ad interactions), and approximate geolocation data (derived from IP address).
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: To opt out of AdMob's data sharing for advertising purposes, use your device's advertising opt-out controls (see Section 4) or visit https://adssettings.google.com. Alternatively, disable ads in the App's Settings screen to prevent AdMob from initialising entirely.
To submit a privacy request regarding data Google holds, visit https://myaccount.google.com or contact Google directly.
I will acknowledge California privacy requests within 10 business days and respond in full within 45 days.
Under the CPRA, California residents aged 13–16 have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information before it occurs. I do not sell personal information. However, if you are a California resident aged 13–16 and wish to opt out of AdMob sharing your device data for targeted advertising, please use your device's advertising settings (see Section 4) or disable ads in the App's Settings screen, and contact me at slipnswipe@gmail.com if you need further assistance.
If you are located in Australia, your privacy is protected under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Since I do not collect personal information directly, the primary data handling relevant to you is performed by Google AdMob under Google's privacy framework.
Google AdMob uses automated systems to select and serve advertisements. This process is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and automated decision framework.
For complaints, please see Section 10 below.
